Mary Anne Weegar, program leader for National University's teacher prep program, shadowed Torrey Pines Elementary Principal Jim Solo last Friday as part of the school district's Principal for a Day program. Others visiting local schools included Vera Howell of Turner Construction Co. at Bird Rock Elementary; Reed Vickerman of Amylin Pharmaceuticals at La Jolla Elementary, George Saadeh of Wurts Interiors at Muirlands, Rose Marine Garner of General Atomics at La Jolla High, and George Mitrovich of The City Club at Preuss School.
