Israeli pianist Victor Stanislavsky will perform in La Jolla at Congregation Beth El on June 9.
Stanislavsky has been selected as one of the 30 competitors for the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, held every 4th year in Fort Worth, Texas.
The young Israeli pianist is gaining a reputation as a soloist and chamber musician. In past seasons, he has performed at the Ravinia and Israel Festivals and throughout China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and the United States.
In 2007, Stanislavsky was awarded Second Prize and the Prize for the best performance of a commissioned piece at Italy's E. Pozzoli International Piano Competition, as well as Second Prize at the China International Piano Competition. He has received an America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship since 2002.
Victor Stanislavsky was a soloist on April 28th, 2009 with the China Symphony Orchestra in Beijing playing the Rachmaninoff First Concerto for 2000 people.
